Rural Roosts is a family run business, owned and managed by Tim and Katie Olivant.

We live in the farmhouse at Manor Farm, close at hand for anything you may need during your stay, as well as providing information on events and attractions in the local area. We are passionate about the countryside and wildlife, and we would like you to come, share and enjoy, what we have created here at Rural Roosts, whilst on your holiday.

We have a fantastic team who you will see around on change-over days, they too will do their upmost to help with any requirements you may have.

You may also see Ann (Tim’s Mum). As well as helping with the lodges on change-over days, and looking after the children when we are busy, she is our no.1 flower lady(!), looking after all the plants and flowers around the holiday properties.

Our extending family of animals keeps on growing….’Swift’ the border collie and her trainee son ‘Bob’ are always on standby to help Tim with the sheep whilst ‘Pepper’ and ‘Teddy’ take it steady back at the farmhouse!!

We have large flock of breeding sheep consisting of pedigree Oxford Downs, North of England Mules and Lleyns. The Oxfords are the first to lamb around Christmas time, with the rest of the flock following on late February into April. Also helping out with the grazing we have ‘Rosie’ the pony plus ‘Mini’ and ‘Coco’ the donkeys… who have recently given birth to baby donkeys ‘Jack’ and ‘Wills’!
