We are dog friendly!

As dog lovers ourselves, at Rural Roosts we understand how big of a role our pets play in our lives, and we pride ourselves on being dog friendly accommodation. We accept up to two dogs in each lodge, apart from Swan Lodge (our 2 berth) where we accept 1 dog. We have two dog run areas on the farm for your four legged friends to play and enjoy some time off lead, and provide dog bowls and towels, as well as some treats for your pets to indulge in during their stay.

The Woodland Walk

Taking the path behind Little Owl Lodge and winding your way through the trees you will come to our woodland, with a designated fenced area for your dogs to enjoy a run around off lead.

The Bark Park

The Bark Park is located to the left alongside the track to the reservoir, and is our second fenced dog run area, equipped with toys for your dogs to enjoy. During the summer months this area becomes adorned with beautiful wild flowers, making a lovely stroll right from your doorstep.

As well as an abundance of walks on and around the farm here at Rural Roosts, there is plenty to do in the local area with your dogs in tow.

Dog Friendly things to do in the local area:

  • Woodland Walks – Just 5 minutes drive from Rural Roosts we have Chamber’s Farm Woods. Further afield, Willingham Woods is a 30 minute drive from the lodge site and offers plenty of woodland walks for you and your pets to enjoy.
  • The Lincolnshire Coast – Lincolnshire boasts miles of open, unspoilt coastline to explore with your dogs. A few of our favourites include Sandilands, Huttoft and Chapel Point for a lovely day out, about 1 hour drive from Rural Roosts.
  • Whisby Nature Park – A half an hour drive from the lodge site, Whisby Nature Park is a haven for wildlife and visitors alike. Explore a variety of scenic trails around the reserve, there is even an off-lead dog run area for your dogs to enjoy.
  • Plenty of pubs and cafes in the local area are now dog friendly.

We hope your four legged friends enjoy their stay at Rural Roosts! We love to see any photos you might have captured during your holiday, don’t forget to upload them to our Gallery page.
