Discover Lincolnshire Weekend 24th & 25th March

Discover Lincolnshire in March with a weekend of free entry to many of Lincoln city and countryside’s attractions, free activities, and special offers.

Plus there are many other attractions across the city that are free to enter over the weekend, as they are all year long.

Special free activities in Lincoln city and countryside for Discover Lincolnshire Weekend include:

Free Entry to Lincoln Cathedral
Entry to Lincoln Cathedral will be free throughout the weekend from 7:15am til 6pm (5pm on Sunday). Access is restricted on Sunday due to regular services. Tours of the floor and roof will take place through the day at a fee of £4 per person.

Free Guided Tours at Lincoln Castle
The grounds of Lincoln Castle will be open for free, as usual. Tours of the grounds (usually included with inclusive tickets) will also run for free throughout the weekend. Access to the Medieval Wall Walk, Victorian Prison, and Magna Carta Vault is be general admission.

Free Rides on Lincoln’s Open-Top Bus
Take a ride on Lincoln’s open-top bus for free to get the best overview of Lincoln in the city – all in under one hour.
Tickets for the top deck are now sold out; bottom-deck places will be offered first-come first-serve on the day. Unclaimed top-deck tickets will also be offered on the day so arrive early to get the best spot!

Other highlights include:
• Lincoln Longwool sheep and spinning demonstrations at Cogglesford Watermill;
• Free entry to the Medieval Bishops’ Palace as they re-open after conservation work;
• The chance to meet the Mayor of Lincoln and Civic Party at Lincoln Guildhall.
