Lincoln Castle and the Magna Carta Exhibition 2015

Lincoln Castle       Lincoln Castle Walls       Lincoln Castle

Following its £22m renovation, Lincoln Castle will be launching a re-opening from 1st April 2015 in time to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.

For the first time there will be a complete wall walk circuit open with audio guides.

There will be a specialist Vault and cinema space for Magna Carta and Charter of the Forest – the only place in the world where these can be viewed together.

The whole Victorian prison will be opened up to allow you to discover the convicts’ tales.

Archaeology uncovered during the works, including the internationally significant Saxon sarcophagus will be on display.

There are also new visitor facilities, shop and café all with excellent accessibility.

Come and discover the Castle’s stories, from the time it was built by William the Conqueror in 1068, through the centuries.
