RAF Lincolnshire

Rural Roosts self catering holiday lodges provide the perfect base to explore Lincolnshire’s rich aviation heritage with an aviation trail in and around the city and fascinating heritage sites just a short drive away. https://www.visitlincoln.com/aviation

The city was one of the world’s top manufacturers of aircraft during WWI, producing over 3,500 aircraft and 3,000 aero engines. Lincolnshire was home to thousands of airmen during WWII, becoming known as ‘Bomber County’. Today the city is home to the Red Arrows aerobatic display team, often practicing over Lincoln’s skies, the International Bomber Command Memorial, and many operating RAF bases.

Visit Lincoln has worked with Partners to produce this great new video to showcase Lincoln and Lincolnshire’s rich aviation and RAF heritage.
