We are VERY Dog Friendly!

Here at Rural Roosts, we love guests to bring all members of the household to enjoy their special time together (well those they want on holiday that is!!), the most important being their four legged friends.

The pine lodges are well set up for bringing along your dogs, as well as there being the lovely spacious area inside the self-catering lodge, there is also a fenced decked area so guests can have their doors open in the warmer months without fear of their dogs (and children!) disappearing after that cheeky rabbit in the distance. We are just adding the addition of a ‘Dog Essentials Box’ to each lodge, this will include a small towel, couple of dog bowls and some poop bags should they be forgotten when you are packing. For those dogs that are used to sitting on the sofas, we suggest you either bring a throw for your dogs to sit on, or we have throws here for you to use during your stay. There is an outdoor tap on each lodge for washing down those muddy boots and paws.

There are plenty of walks around the lodge site and farm, as well as on the quiet countryside roads surrounding Rural Roosts (the Viking Way passes through Stainfield). We have a woodland loop, and an ‘off lead’ run area fenced off in the woodland on the farm. We are about to open our new ‘Bark Park’, an open fenced field where there will be toys for your dog to enjoy playing with and burning off some energy.

About 5 minutes drive from Rural Roosts, you can find Chambers Farm Wood, Situated on the site of a medieval woodland, it contains ancient limes and a wealth of butterflies – a joy for any nature lover at anytime of the year – there are 3 woodland trails here. We are also close to the Water Rail Way Cycle route, a purpose built trail linking Lincoln to Boston with a range of artwork along the route. A 45 minute drive will take you to the Lincolnshire coastline where you can find DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES  – a great day out for all the family!

So, don’t delay, check out our availability and book a lovely break in the Lincolnshire countryside for your four legged friends (I am sure they will thank you for it!)

‘We love it at Rural Roosts. It’s quiet, friendly, well kept, beautiful lodges that are so well equipped and we just feel so at home here. The added bonus of fishing and being able to take our dogs makes it even more attractive.’

‘It was our first mini break with our 5 month old puppy and it was great to have a gated enclosed decking to keep him safe. Some great walks around the site and also an enclosed woodland dog exercise area for those off lead runs. The hot tub is a bonus and is secluded for privacy to the side of the lodge. We really can’t fault Rural Roosts, everything we needed was to hand and the lemon drizzle cake was yum, and the pup loved the little pot of treats. We definitely plan to stay again in the near future.’
