Easter Holidays in Lincoln

The Easter Holidays can be a wonderful time to start getting out and about with family and friends, enjoying the first signs of spring. The wildlife in the countryside is just starting to come alive again, with bird song, hares playing in the fields and geese starting to return to the nearby lakes and rivers.

Here at Rural Roosts, we are open all year, but we do particularly love this time of year when guests can get outside and make the most of the great outdoors! There are some fantastic farm walks right from your door, and for the more adventurous, you could walk in the nearby beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds or maybe take a trip down the cycle path – one way to the lovely village of Woodhall Spa (with lots of lovely little cafes for that much needed coffee and cake!), or the other way into the City of Lincoln.

There’s a packed programme of theatre, events, trails, and activities over Easter in Lincoln and Lincolnshire. Highlights include:

Museum of the Moon March 2nd – April 28th
In the 50th anniversary year of the first man to walk on The Moon, experience the Museum of the Moon at The Collection museum in Lincoln with a space themed programme of events alongside.

Alice in Wonderland at Lincoln Castle 6th April – 22nd April
Follow the White Rabbit’s Easter quest, play flamingo croquet, and solve the Mad Hatter’s riddles at Lincoln Castle during the Easter holidays.

Easter Eggsploration April 7th – 22nd
Follow the Easter trail through the wild gardens of Doddington Hall, For the first time, families will be able to explore Doddington Hall’s historic walled garden and grounds during the Easter school holidays (excluding Saturdays), with a new Spring Spotters’ Trail to follow.

Easter Bunny Extravaganza 6th April – 22nd April
An interactive Easter show at Rand Farm Park where you’ll receive a free Easter Egg from the Easter Bunny himself – alongside all the other great family activities to enjoy.

Countryside Lincs April 14th
Visit the Lincolnshire Showground for a fun-packed extravaganza all about food, farming and the countryside during the Easter holidays. Children and families will be able to learn to make, bake, explore and experience all things connected to food, farming and the countryside.
